Too much tv

So i have recently finished my work placement at an international summer school and ever since i finished it's as if all the tv shows in the world have just appeared in my line of view!

Americas next top model
New girl
Keeping up with the kardashians
Greys anatomy
Law and order uk
The wanted life
Friends

I mean, what is going on?!
I have to say New girl is my favourite and i have (embarrassingly) dreamt about it, series 2 has been my saviour in the recent rainy weather. New girl, duvet, special k and twitter: HEAVEN.

Plus, Zooey Deschanel?! Come to me now.

Day out in London

So for my mum's birthday i bought her tickets to see the matinee production of Matilda the musical in London on sunday, so we went up decided to make a day of it.

Matilda was amazing! One of the best musicals i've seen, the story line tied in all the elements of Matilda the film that we love, Miss Honey's troubled past, Miss Trunchball's mean punishments and of course Matilda's wonderful family!

The set
As soon as we left the theatre we downloaded the songs of the musical from itunes and have kept them as our car playlist ever since! Lyrics and music written by Tim Minchin are just perfectly in tune with the whole production, my favourite being "when i grow up" or "miracle".

We also managed to get down to Choccywoccydoodah, indulge in probably too much chocolate, look at all the amazing creations and eat our way into paralysis.

Big Rich Texas

This is quite embarrassing.

The past few days, although i should have been revising to my hearts content.. it hasn't been quite that successful.

My brain is so fried i don't even know if that sentence makes sense.

My new obsession is a terrible show, so terribly amazing. The drama, the love, the tattoos and the amount the word 'bitch' is used. I LOVE it all.

Judge me please, i judge myself.

Wonders of baking

Well i love baking.
My love for baking did come from a bad place, an unhealthy obsession with food. But it was the light in the darkness.
I have at least 3 baking books, and that's just my favourites!
At the moment i am loving Paul Hollywoods book 'How to bake', also Marian Keyes new cookbook 'saved by cake' which i especially love because i feel like our love for baking sort of cam from the same kind of place.

My favourite bakes:
Paul Hollywoods Croissants
Paul Hollywoods Pain au raisins
Paul Hollywoods Portugese tarts
Marian Keyes Butternut squash tray bake (sounds horrible but it's my favourite snack!)
Marian Keyes chocolate cupcakes
Hummingbird bakery coffee cake
and lots more!

I thought i'd boast because i'm like a proud mumma with my bakes and put some pictures up!

My friends and people

My friends.
The people i love and that are there for me in sickness and in health and all those beautiful unspoken vows that best friends take.
And here they are..

Annika Jackson
The one and only, We went to first school together when we were 4 and we have been best friends ever since, this may not sound that amazing but the thing that has kept us so close is our separation.
I left our first school when i was 8, so we had 4 wonderful years of seeing each other everyday until my parents shipped me off to private school with longer hours, new people and a mountain more of work.
And yet, we have stayed best friends for 13 years this september, she is the person i go to in times of need, the one person who can really make me happy and really annoy me.
The perfect friendship as many people will know has balance and we do.
The only problem with our friendship is that we don't see each other enough, and even though this is our problem it's also the thing that lets me know that we will be friends forever because we can not speak for a month without batting an eyelid if we are both super busy and then one day the phone will ring and we will talk as if no time has passed and that to me just makes her the specialist person in the world.

Eliza Mcgovern
She's a gorgeous bean!
I met her when i around 10 and we spent about 2 weeks of general small talk and general chitchat around the playground (as you do) and then one day it was like, click! and we have been giggling and being chummy ever since although she lives in essex and that is hard sometimes but i loves her and she loves me and we spend as much time together as possible!

(aren't we pretty in our primark caps)

Harry Clarke
My boy-friend. Yes friend that's a boy! He's a special one that one.
We went to school together for around 5 years and never really payed any attention until we moved schools and ended up doing a car share and suddenly we were best friends!
He's the smartest person i know and he's gorgeous so ladies check that out!
Oh now writing this i miss the boy, damn i must text him.
We're planning on going to universities not too far apart so we can live together or at least see each other very often because we loves us!

And now..
Sarah Blakely
Now this one makes me extra happy, she lives in washington DC and i have known her for around 3 years now although it feels like we have been the bestest friends for our whole lives.
She's brilliant and fantastic and amazing.
Thats all i really have to say about that.

Then there's the family
My mumma is one of my best friends and i know a big cliche but it is very much true.
She is always there for me, she listens and looks after me and makes me laugh and does all the mummy things that mummys do!

My middle brother is also a wonderful boy/man. I say this because he is a hug 6ft 4 man covered in tattoos buuut he has the mental age of a 12 year old and treats me as his toy to annoy and play with so he is fantastic and protective and wonderful but also a big brother.

Then theres my older brother (half brother), Sam.
He recently moved to Australia and lives in Perth playing tennis all day, he is a well accomplished professional tennis coach with the highest qualifications he can get and as you can probably tell i am so so proud of him! He is great and although he's my half brother it never feels that, way theres never been anything thats separated us and we are just as close and sometimes closer than my full brother, Tom.

And that's it, my loved ones wrapped up into one blogpost.
Of course there are people missing and terribly sorry but i don't want a mammoth post.

Lots of love my dearies,
JosieReally

Let's begin..

Well, a blog.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself and all the little things that i enjoy.

I'm 17 years old, blonde, rather tall and just a bit normal.

That's all the boring stuff now the things people really like, i am a keen baker and my cakes attract my whole family, as soon as i send a text to my mumma saying theres a fresh batch of croissants cooling then half the bloody street comes a knocking! (although me showing my mother how to use her iphone and send a group text could possibly make this my fault)

So obviously, i am obsessed with the wonderful and gorgeous Paul Hollywood, i also love a nice afternoon of watching Greys Anatomy.

Another fact about me which always receives an 'oo!' when i'm asked, i would love to become a midwife! It has always been a hope of mine since i was about 10, although there was a blip when i got my first Sex-Ed class and was forced to watch a woman give birth for the first time at the age of 12 (please..)

So i am a lazy 17 year old who loves to bake and aspires to be a midwife.

(also forgot to mention my puppy dog he's no longer a puppy but he's so beautiful that i call him my pup)

Lots of love my dearies,
Josie
